A five-day intensive Workshop – Developmentally-based, Relationally-focused Integrative Psychotherapy lead by Richard G. Erskine, PhD & Aleksandra Bubera Ninić, MD   

Richard Erskine, PhD, a well-known TA teacher, the only three-time winner of the Eric Berne Award for the development of TA and the founder of Relational Integrative Psychotherapy and Aleksandra Bubera Ninić, MD, will hold a five-day intensive Workshop – Developmentally-based, Relationally-focused Integrative Psychotherapy, Wednesday March 19th,  through Sunday, March 23rd 2025, at “Miljenko Dereta” event space, Belgrade, Serbia.

Workshop will be organized by the Specialist psychiatry outpatient office “Bubera“, National Association for Transactional Analysis of Serbia – NATAS, Association “Belcounsel” and Via Mea PR consulting services.

This five-day intensive workshop will focus on the centrality of the therapeutic relationship while emphasizing the in-depth methods of a psychotherapy that integrates the client’s affect, cognition, physiology and behaviour.

The themes of this intensive workshop may include life scripts, unconscious pre-reflective patterns, non-verbal communication, introjection, and physiological survival reactions. Various methods may be taught and demonstrated:

  • therapy from a child development perspective;
  • establishing an involved therapeutic relationship;
  • facilitating a safe, supportive regression;
  • providing body-centered psychotherapy; and,
  • the effective use of the relational methods of inquiry, attunement, and involvement.

This intensive workshop is for mental health professionals who want to apply theory in clinical practice and to enhance their effectiveness through identifying aspects of their own contact interruption, life script, and countertransference.

Dr. Eskine will do live therapy with some (not with each and every participant) of the members of the group. He will then discuss the theory and methods used in the live therapy. Dr Bubera Ninić will be a supporting therapist on site.


Participants should be thoroughly acquainted to “The Art and Science of Relationship: The Practice of Integrative Psychotherapy” by Richard G. Erskine and Janet P. Moursund (2022, Phoenix/Karnak) and come to the workshop prepared to ask questions and engage in a lively discussion about the theory and methods of a developmentally based, relationally focused Integrative Psychotherapy.

Participants are encouraged to have a psychological support person with whom they can process and integrate their personal experiences in the workshop.

This intensive workshop will be held in English language with consecutive or whispered translation to Serbian for participants who need language assistance.

You will receive 30 hours of training credit towards certification as an Integrative Psychotherapist by the Commission on Standards and Certification of the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association. Hours should be also acknowledged by all TA schools and associations, since Dr Erskine and Dr Bubera Ninić are both TSTA*. (For other approaches and psychotherapy schools and training institutes please contact your educators and supervisors).

The workshop will be submitted to the Health Council of Serbia for accreditation as a CE in the October



Intensive workshop application and fee:

  • number of participants is limited (23) as well as the application time
  • if you want to apply, please do so at once because application will be closed as soon as we fill the workshop places and not later then August 31st 2024.

Cancellation policy:

I ) If the organizer(s) cancel the seminar due to force majeure (force majeure – epidemic, war, earthquake and other natural disasters, border closure for any reason, demonstrations, fire, etc.) and/or changed circumstances that could not be objectively influenced (clausula rebus sic stantibus – illness, injury, death of the lecturer, plane delay and the like) – as a corrective to the principle of pacta sunt servanda, the cancellation policy is as follows, taking into account that the organizer is indebted to the suppliers, and the non-refundable part of the registration fee payments are:

  • participation cancellation at any time: €1700 (fee is non-refundable)
  • fee is transferable to another participant only if the participant at cancelation or organizer do provide a replacement participant (all bank fees and bank transfers/taxes, if any, will be borne entirely by the participant who canceled)
